Upcoming Xbox One Titles
5 future Xbox One hits to look out for
The wait’s over!
The Xbox One is finally out ushering in the next generation of console gaming. The Xbox One library is jam-packed with exclusives and games released for Xbox 360 that have had a fresh lick of paint and had new features added.
Microsoft’s exclusives look particularly appetising, but where will the console be in a year’s time?
We predict Christmas 2014 will be a bumper year for gamers with a slew of fantastic high-definition titles wowing the senses and bursting with Kinect interactivity.

Let’s take a look at some of the games that are set to be future hits on the Xbox One:
Snaaaaaaake! What are you doing back in action? Konami couldn’t let Snake rest in peace. The Phantom Pain is a follow-up to PSP’s Peace Walker and follows the exploits of ‘Punished Snake’ – a suspected Big Boss awaking from a nine-year coma.
Set after the destruction of Mother Base Snake has joined the Diamond Dogs and track down those responsible. Players will be able to develop their own weapons and items from their base, includes a real-time day and night cycle, and features series’ favourites such as Ocelot and… Keifer Sutherland?!
Kingdom Hearts 3
Still on the anti-Kingdom-Hearts bandwagon because of its cutesy Disney ties and harks to Final Fantasy? Time to get off. We’re big fans of the series thanks to its rich, involving (and admittedly sometimes confusing) storyline.
Kingdom Hearts’ biggest draw though is its rewarding and fun combat which is set to be more impressive than ever. It’s the first time Kingdom Hearts is set to appear on a Microsoft console. We’re sure it won’t let us down.
Eidos Montreal is busy developing the fourth game in the acclaimed Thief series. The stealth game sees players take control of tricky master thief Garrett as he steals from the rich in a plague-ridden Victorian/steampunk city called… er, The City.
Run by tyrannical The Baron The City has a massive divide between rich and poor which Garrett is hoping to use to his advantage. Gamers can choose multiple paths during levels, pickpocket, slow down time with a Focus mode, and much more besides.
Whore of the Orient
Don’t worry, it’s nothing (too) sordid and seedy. Rather, Whore of the Orient is a tale focusing on the deadly corruption coursing through Shanghai’s streets in 1936 with the International Police Force trying to stem the corrosive forces.
We’re excited because it’s brought to you by a reinvigorated Team Bondi who blessed us with crime thriller L.A. Noire. We remember the moment our jaws dropped when we saw the game’s facial capture system for the first time. Just imagine what they can do with next-gen hardware…
Watch Dogs would be with us already but for Ubisoft Montreal. The developers postponed Watch Dogs to mid-2014 to "deliver something that embodies what we wanted to see in the next-generation of gaming."
As painful as the delay is it sits alright with us if it means we get one of the finest stealth games ever created. The hacking element is truly original and inspired, while Assassin’s Creed-style parkour mixed with third-person shooter elements have us salivating.
