Help a Capital Child
Grainger Games is pleased to announce that we've teamed up with 105-106 Capital FM, The North East's No.1 Hit Music Station, in the lead up to Christmas with the aim of raising at least £5,000 for the radio stations charity, 'Help a Capital Child'.
To achieve this we've installed branded charity bins into 24 of our stores around the North East and we're asking our customers to bring in any unwanted games to donate. Once we've sold these games, 100% of the profits will go directly to the charity. These bins will be in store until the 23rd of December
Over the next year, Help a Capital Child will be raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust to help young people living with cancer, helping to raise the funds needed for a brand new teenage cancer ward at the Freeman hospital in Newcastle. The new unit will provide specialist care and support for young people with cancer in the region. The state-of-the-art medical facilities bring teenagers and young adults together so they can support each other, and offer the best possible chance of a positive outcome.
105-106 Capital FM Managing Director, Kim Miljus said:
‘Since launching Help a Capital Child in October, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our listeners in the North East and we are all delighted that Grainger Games share our vision for creating a fantastic new unit in the region. The North East has always prided itself on helping others and we are sure our listeners will get right behind the latest campaign and donate their unwanted games to help raise £5,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust!’
